Three advanced engineering schools will be established in Tatarstan

According to the list of 30 advanced engineering schools approved by the Russian Government at its meeting in Innopolis (Tatarstan) to be organized by large Russian universities by the same-name federal project of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, three such schools will appear in the republic.

An engineering school by the Nabereshnyye Chelny branch of the Kazan Federal University in partnership with the KAMAZ Automaker will develop machine-building projects, a school by the Kazan Technical Chemistry University  together with the SIBUR holding, the Gasprom Company and the Ammonia plant will be dealing with chemical industry and the advanced school at the Innopolis University together with the Gasprom, Rostelecom, Gaspromneft  Petrochemical Company , VK the Ak Bars Bank and MTS with the support from the Russian Ministry of Digitalization will educate IT engineers.

At its advanced engineering school the Innopolis University is planning to pro0vide complete import replacement of development and implementation of digital products by 2030, to train 14 000 IT specialists and launch new higher and additional professional education programs such as Information systems Engineering, Software engineering, Systems and networks security Engineering and AI and Data Engineering.

Speaking at the meeting, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shay6khutdinov said: “This large scale project will facilitate further proactive development of Russian science and industry. We have large work to be done in the nearest 8 years.”
