7 August 2013, Wednesday
“Dear Muslims of Tatarstan! Dear compatriots! I sincerely congratulate you on a blessed holiday Eid al-Fitr (Uraza Bayram)! Today Muslims gather for the holy common prayer, prepare feasts to praise the grace of Allah, who commanded with the help of the Prophet Muhammad to work honestly, do good and help those who suffer.
Uraza Bayram marks the end of Ramadan that helps believers to become purer, more perfect and closer to Allah. During Ramadan month Muslims performed good deeds, organized group iftars, collected zakat, held charity campaigns.
I am glad that our sincere religious feelings were widely understood by many guests and participants of 27th World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan. I am sure that Tatarstan Muslims and representatives of other religions will contribute to consolidation of peace and concord, creation of fair and prosperous society.
Let Uraza Bayram bring happiness and prosperity to every house, give salvatory hope, peace of mind and wellbeing! I wish you strong health, peace and grace of Allah!”
