Rustam Minnikhanov: “Kazan venture fair has established itself as a project”

On April 24 at IX Kazan venture fair Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the fair is one of successful events in the sphere of venture business in Russia. However, event managers should always find new ideas and projects.
Kazan venture fair is a meeting of professionals of venture investing and developers of prospective projects. Representatives of Russian and foreign venture funds, private investors and major corporation will take part in the event.
Partners of the venture fair are Association of innovative regions of Russia, OAO “ROSNANO”, OAO “Russian Venture Company”, Fund for the Promotion of the Development of Small Businesses in the Sphere of Science and Technology, Skolkovo Foundation, ANO “Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects and National business-angels association of Russia. Exposition of high-tech companies seeking for venture investments will be presented at the fair.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked guests and partners of the event.
CEO of Russian Association of venture investment Albina Nikkonen noted the growing interest to Kazan venture fair that is the evidence of proper work carried out on developing innovations in Tatarstan. Director General of OAO “Rosnano” Andrey Svinarenko believes that some participants of the fair will become clients of the network of nano centres in Russia.
Director General of Russian Venture Company Igor Agamirzyan called Kazan venture fair is an important event in development of venture investments in the country.
Honourable guests got familiar with prospective projects presented at the exposition, and Rustam Minnikhanov took part in plenary session of IX Kazan venture fair. He noted that such meetings are important for exchanging experience, and defining further steps for development of venture business. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, it is important to pay attention to education, and training of business-like people.
Director of Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) Benjamin Soffer, Director General of Russian Venture Company Igor Agamirzyan, Managing Director of Arete Investment Foundation (Hong Kong) Hans Hun, Bachelor of economy of Kyushu University, Managing Director of DFJ “VTB Avrora” Aleksandra Johnson told about development of venture business abroad.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
