Agreement on cooperation signed between the Republic of Tatarstan and the South Moravian Region

On September 26, during the working trip of Tatarstan delegation to Czech Republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of the South Moravian region Michal Hašek signed Agreement on cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the South Moravian Region in Brno.
The signing ceremony was held at the Administration of South Moravian region within the framework of the meeting of Tatarstan delegation with the local leadership.
During the meeting Mr Hašek noted that Tatarstan is the example for the South Moravian region in many spheres. Being an agricultural region, as well as Tatarstan, the South Moravian region is aimed at economic development based on highly educated personnel. Science, development and innovations are potential areas of cooperation.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Michal Hašek for the opportunity to visit South Moravian region and friendly atmosphere. He noted that prospective areas of cooperation are light industry, machine tool building, engineering, technologies education and tourism.
“The agreement will favour competitiveness of our regions, development of business interaction, and strengthening of friendly relations between Russia and Czech Republic,” Tatarstan President said.
Later on, in his interview with media representatives Michal Hašek confirmed that Russia and Tatarstan are reliable partners of Czech Republic, and difficult political situation between Russia and EU would not affect regional cooperation and friendship between Tatarstan and Czech Republic.
On 31 January, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin reported that capital overhaul of nine school in eight municipalities of the republic has started.
On 28 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in an extended joint meeting of the Main Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan and a collegium of the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergency Management and Natural Disaster Response of the republic which summarized results of work of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the republic in 2025 and set tasks for 2026.
In his keyword report the Head of the Main Directorate Irek Kadamov informed that there were 3 758 man-caused fires in the republic which killed 128 people and injured 177. Through joint efforts, we have managed to reduce the number of man-caused fires by more than 10%, the number of injured by 12 per cent, however the number of killed increased by 13 people, he said.
On 28 January at a ceremony held as a part of a meeting summarizing results of work of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the republic in 2025 and setting tasks for 2026, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Head of the Main Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan Irek Kadamov handed in keys for 24 new fire and rescue vehicles purchased at the expense of the regional budget to units of the Directorate and Tatarstan Emergencies Ministry.
On 27 January, speaking at an extended meeting of the Tatarstan Prosecutor’s Office which summarized results of work of the Office for 2025 and set tasks for strengthening law and order in 2026 and which was held with participation of Russian Deputy General Prosecutor Nikoly Shishkin and the Chief Federal Inspector for the republic Viktor Demidov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin thanked employees of the Office for good work and high professionalism.
