The number of state-financed places at Tatarstan higher educational institutions to increase by 2, 000

On April 7, at a briefing on universities enrollment campaign 2015, Tatarstan First deputy Minister of Education and Science Andrey Pominov said that the number of state-financed places at regional higher educational institutions will increase from 14488 to 16588.
According to Pominov, there are 71 higher educational organizations with 170, 000 students in the republic and 17,552 students finished schools this year. Documents for enrollment will be submitted on June 19 – July 24.
Andrey Pominov focused on target enrollment, - training of specialists in accordance with the needs of enterprises in qualified personnel. The order of target enrollment has changed when new legislation in the sphere of education came into force. Pominov noted that municipalities that accept applications from employers and make a list of candidates for target enrollment now play more important role. By May 1 the lists are to be given to relevant ministries.
Since candidates do not have results State Unified Exam at the time of submission of the documents, employers should assess current academic progress and potential of candidates.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
