Rustam Minnikhanov: Kazansummit is the main site in Russia for cooperating with Islamic countries

On June 15, at a business breakfast with participants of Kazansummit-2015 in Kazan, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that Kazansummit is the main site in Russia for cooperating with Islamic countries. The main topic of the breakfast was “Investments and trade of Russia and OIC”.

President of Islamic Business and Finance Development Fund (IBFD Fund) Linar Yakupov was moderator of the event.

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the breakfast and said that it is a high privilege for the republic to receive such distinguished guests, especially President of Islamic Development Bank Ahmed Mohamed Ali Al-Madani.

“Islamic Development Bank is sympathetic to Russia and we feel support of OIC countries,” Minnikhanov added. He noted that Russia President Vladimir Putin set the task to develop relations with Islamic countries.

Rustam Minnikhanov wished participants and guests of the summit successful and productive work.

Speaking at the breakfast, Ahmed Mohamed Ali Al-Madani said that Islamic Development Bank would like to cooperate with Tatarstan and make the region a place for developing cooperation between Russia and OIC countries.

Linar Yakupov made a brief presentation about trade and tourist relations between Russia and OIC countries.
