Rustam Minnikhanov: The TAIF group of companies is capable of managing the tasks set

On June 25, speaking at a press-conference, TAIF First Deputy Director General Rustem Sulteev said that the net profit of the TAIF group of companies made about 45 billion roubles, while the net profit of OAO "TAIF" amounted to 8 billion roubles in 2014.
The press conference was held right after the annual general meeting of shareholders and meeting of the new Board of Directors of TAIF. Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov andTAIF General Director Albert Shigabutdinov took part in the conference.
Answering journalists' questions, Sulteev said that following the results of 2014 it was decided not to pay dividends, because a large-scale construction is underway at the TAIF-NK. According to him, this project is estimated to cost 1.6 billion US dollars.
Speaking about forecasts, Shigabutdinov said that "2015 should be better than 2014." According to him, such a task was assigned to the TAIF Group of companies by Minnikhanov.
Albert Shigabutdinov also told about the plans to build two plants for the production of ethylene with a capacity of 600,000 tonnes per year each at the Nizhnekamskneftekhim site. The total project cost is estimated to be 9 billion US dollars.
In his turn Minnikhanov reminded that the republic has adopted the fourth programme for the development of petrochemical complex in 2015-2019 years. The TAIF group of companies is capable of managing the tasks set within the pogramme, he said.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
