Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in preliminary party primaries

On June 27, in the Kazan Tennis Academy, Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the preliminary party vote to decide on candidates for further nomination as a candidate for post of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
By and large 3,700 people, including 1,636 electors from the primary divisions of Tatarstan regional branch of All-Russia political party "United Russia" and 33 public organizations took part in the primaries.
Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, a member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Batin, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov, Head of Training and Research Center of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Oleg Morozov proposed themselves as candidates for participation in the primaries of the United Russia party.
Speaking about other candidates, Minnikhanov admitted that he could not treat them as his opponents, because he has worked with them for a long time. "We have worked with them all my life," he said.
Minnikhanov thanked the staff of the enterprises, social organizations and political party "United Russia", as well as all those who had confidence in him, and proposed his as a candidate for the post of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Speaking at the primaries Minnikhanov said that over the past five years the republic has had ups and downs. "When we talk about our successes, we must rely on the existing history, our colleagues, and our teachers - those who gave us all these skills, who gave us the way to life. We must always remember this, because we are leading the way for the youth. And these young people must also follow the principles and traditions that we have laid. I am grateful to all those with whom I have worked, my managers and, of course, the first President of Tatarstan - Mintimer Shaimiev,” he said.
Minnikhanov emphasized that the industrial, resource, and human potential of the republic is huge. "It is no secret that Tatarstan has always been famous for its personnel. We have a huge human potential and our colleagues, who are now working in the federal government, prove that," he continued.
Our main task is to make the republic a place where people want to live and work in, Minnikhanov said.

On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
