Russia, Japan and China signed agreement on constructing plant for producing fertilizers in Tatarstan

November, 13. Russia, Japan and China signed trilateral agreement on constructing plant for producing fertilizers in Mendeleevsk in presence of RF President Dmitry Medvedev and RT President Rustam Minnikhanov in Yokohama. Total cost of the project makes 1 bln. dollars.
The contract signed between Tatarstan company “Ammony” and consortium of companies Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd (MHI) (Japan), Sojitz Corporation Ltd (Japan), China National Chemical Engineering Group Corp (China) includes all stages of construction process (design, deliveries, construction).
According to information at official site of Sojitz company, such a full course is rather unusual for project on the territory of Russia.
Within the bounds of this project “MHI” being the leader of consortium, will be responsible for basic and detailed design, purchase of equipment and distribution of technical personnel for installation and start-and-adjustment works. Sojitz will be engaged into coordination of proper parties and transport in Russia using its work experience in our country. The largest Chinese construction and engineering firm controlled by State council of China, «CNCEC» will be implementing construction works.
We remind, before signing the contract, RT President Rustam Minnikhanov held meeting with CEOs of companies participating in this project.
On 20 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Chief Federal Inspector for Tatarstan Viktor Demidov, representatives of interacting bodies, commanders and heads of the units of the Directorate took part in a resulting collegium of the National Guard Troops in Tatarstan that discussed results of the service of the Directorate in 2024 and set forth tasks for the coming period.
On 18 January at a regular Saturday meeting in the Government House of the republic it was announced that by his decree from 18 January 2025 the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov appointed Marat Fayzrakhmanov to the post of the Minister of Finance of the republic.
On 15 January, speaking at a briefing in the Government house of the republic dedicated to implementation of national projects in Tatarstan, the Minister of Economy of the republic Midkhat Shagiakhmetov informed about main achievements of the republic in 2019-2024 and said that more than 228bn rubles has been allocated on implementation of the national projects in the republic for the last six years.
On 13 January Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov took part in a ceremony of opening a college for training qualified specialists in IT and robotics at the University of Innopolis. The college established as a pilot project will enroll first 75 students in 2025-2026 academic year, and, speaking at the ceremony, Roman Shaykhutdinov emphasized its strategic importance in the context of national tasks.
