First ceremony of awarding RF and RT State awards was held in Kazan Kremlin on January,17. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov handed awards to more than 50 outstanding figures of science, culture and art, workers in the sphere of economy, law, agriculture and officials of state power.
At the beginning of his speech head of republic congratulated the team “KAMAZ-Master” on winning rally “Dakar”. “It is such a great victory for our country”, - he stressed.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that 2011 was not easy for Tatarstan - abnormal heat, fires and consequences of crisis have left its mark. “In spite of all difficulties we have successfully finished 2010”, - RT President said. He reminded that by results of past year volume of industrial production in Tatarstan has made 1 trillion roubles. By and large, Tatarstan has retrieved its positions in 2010. Still the situation in agro-industrial complex is rather complicated. Measures on keeping livestock and stabilization of situation are being taken in republic.
“We have all necessary conditions in Tatarstan to work in a constructive way. It’s my pleasure to hand state awards to you”, - Rustam Minnikhanov said.
The President defined prospects for next year. “Our key objective is to improve living standards of population.

Head of the Republican Agency for the Press and Mass Communications Marat Muratov was bestowed with the medal of the order for merit to the Motherland, the 2nd degree. Tatarstan State Council Vice-Chairman Rimma Ratnikova was granted the honorary title “The Republic of Tatarstan Honored Figure of Culture”. The Order for Merit to the Motherland, the 4th degree was bestowed to principle of Kazan Higher Military Commanding School, major general Valery Mironchenko. JSC Kamaz chief designer – director of the scientific-technical center Danis Valeyev received the Order for Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan. 15 citizens of Tatarstan were awarded with the medal “For Valorous Labor.”
In his address on the occasion of the Russian Science Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated scientists, researchers and lecturers of the republic with the event and wrote: “Science has always been and remains one of the main driving forces of progress and foundation for the development of economy, social sphere and education. Due to your talent, work and dedication to your vocation Tatarstan occupies the leading positions in many scientific spheres starting from petrochemical and IT technologies to biotechnologies and materials engineering. Today, based on glorious traditions of Russian and Tatarstan scientists, you are making a substantial contribution into ensuring scientific and technological sovereignty of Russia and solve the most important tasks of import replacement, digitalization and sustainable development.
On February 3, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of opening XXI All-Russia competitions in fire-rescue sports for the Cup of the Tatarstan Prime Minister, held in the gym of the Chief Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan with participation of 21 teams from various regions of Russia - a total of about 430 people.
On 31 January, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin reported that capital overhaul of nine school in eight municipalities of the republic has started.
On 28 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in an extended joint meeting of the Main Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan and a collegium of the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergency Management and Natural Disaster Response of the republic which summarized results of work of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the republic in 2025 and set tasks for 2026.
In his keyword report the Head of the Main Directorate Irek Kadamov informed that there were 3 758 man-caused fires in the republic which killed 128 people and injured 177. Through joint efforts, we have managed to reduce the number of man-caused fires by more than 10%, the number of injured by 12 per cent, however the number of killed increased by 13 people, he said.
