Rustam Minnikhanov meets Cambodian Minister for Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol

On November 2, during his working visit to Pnomh Penh, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Cambodian Minister for Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol.

Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in the development of bilateral cooperation with Cambodia, and that Tatarstan products are well known in Cambodian market. In particular, KAMAZ has supplied 1.6 thousand trucks since 80s, and Kazan helicopters plant has sold nine helicopters.

Minnikhanov briefly told about industrial and economic potential of the republic focusing on oil production, mechanical engineering and IT industries.

Sun Chanthol thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the visit and emphasized that Russia and Cambodia started cooperating six decades ago. The minister noted that the activity of intergovernmental Russia-Cambodia commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation had a positive effect. He also told that investments are being actively attracted in Cambodia.
