Rustam Minnikhanov: Today Sakhalin region has big potential for further development

On November 21, at his meeting with the Governor of Sakhalin region Oleg Kozhemyako at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude for the high level of organization of the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Sakhalin in September of the current year.

Minnikhanov noted that the programme of the visit of Oleg Kozhemyako to Tatarstan is aimed at innovative development of territories.

The Sakhalin delegation have visited Innopolis Special Economic Zone and got familiar with achievements of the republic in the sphere of high technologies.

The guests are going to visit Himgrad and IT-park today.

Tatarstan supplies KAMAZ trucks, tyres, medical equipment and food products to Sakhalin and is ready to supply buses, helicopters, ships, chemical agents, diesel fuel and mineral fertilizers.

The governor said that development of agriculture is one of priority areas of work in the region.
