On November 30, Tatarstan delegation headed by the President Rustam Minnikhanov visited headquarters of Schneider Electric in Paris. They looked around the exposition center in the sphere of innovations and new smart technologies, and met the company representatives.
Rustam Minnikhanov was told that the company staff numbers 160,000 people, and 12,000 employees work in Russia. Russia is the fourth important market after the USA, China and France. Up to 60 per cent of equipment sold in Russia is produced in Russia.
The company opened its office in Tatarstan and cooperates with Kazan power engineering university, Tatneft Oil Company, TAIF petrochemical company, and Ak Bars holding company.
Schneider Electric intends to consolidate its positions in Tatarstan and expand its cooperation with Kazan power engineering university, especially in terms of training of skilled specialists according to WorldSkills standards. The company is also studying opportunities of conducting Research and Advanced Development in Innopolis.
