Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture reports on holding agricultural fairs

On December 3, at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House, First deputy minister of agriculture of the republic Nikolay Titov reported that products for the sum of 1 bln roubles were delivered to traditional agricultural fairs.

The fairs started working on September 10. Along with big cities, the fairs were held in small towns such as Bugulma and Leninogorsk.

Citizens could buy meat, milk, eggs and cereals at low prices. Travel costs of participants of the fairs will be compensated.

Ak Bars, Tatagrokhim, Tatmelioratsia, Tatagroleasing and Maisky agroholdings actively participated in the fairs.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Tatarstan agricultural producers for their participation and said that the fairs are very popular among city dwellers.  He also noted that city authorities should actively help farmers and create necessary conditions for sellers.
