Rustam Minnikhanov sends a telegram of condolences to the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the murder of Russia's Ambassador to Turkey, Andrey Karlov

On December 20, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov sent a telegram of condolences to the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov in connection with the murder of Russia's Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov in Ankara.

"Dear Sergey Viktorovich! On my own behalf and on behalf of all residents of Tatarstan please accept our deepest and sincere condolences in connection with the barbaric murder of Russia's Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov in Ankara. The life of a wonderful person and an outstanding diplomat, who made a worthy contribution to strengthening the international standing and the development of external economic relations of Russia came to a tragic end. His work was always imbued with sincere love to his native country, the desire to see it strong and prosperous. The credibility and professionalism of Andrey Karlov helped us, Tatarstan citizens, solve urgent national tasks for the development of multilateral cooperation of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Turkey within the framework of Russian-Turkish relations.

Andrey Karlov's family, relatives and friends, the diplomatic corps and the Russian society suffered an irreplaceable loss. Please convey our deepest condolences to Marina Karlova, his family and friends as well as colleagues of the perished diplomat. We are deeply mourning, sharing the bitterness of irreplaceable loss with the family of Andrey Karlov. We believe that the truth will be established, heads for the crime will be punished for the atrocity and uncompromising struggle against international terrorism will be continued.

The cherished memory of Andrey Karlov will remain in our hearts and in the hearts of all who knew this remarkable man forever.
