Rustam Minnikhanov asks heads of municipal regions to be more attentive to milk production

On January 14, at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov informed that 3,000 tonnes of milk (8 per cent of Russian commercial milk) are produced in the republic every day.

The minister noted that milk production is still the only real source of funds for many agricultural companies.

Over the last two weeks the daily milk production has increased by 63 tonnes, and the proceeds of agricultural producers make about 80 mln roubles per day.  

Rustam Minnikhanov asked heads of municipal regions to be more attentive to milk production as a source of funds and opportunity of holding a successful sowing campaign.

Via videoconferencing Rustam Minnikhanov talked to representatives of lagging regions and asked about reasons of the decrease in milk production.
