Rustam Minnikhanov visits Centre of Computer-Aided Engineering of Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University

On April 28, during his short working trip to St. Petersburg, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Engineering Centre “Centre of Computer-Aided Engineering” of Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU). 

During an excursion around the centre, Minnikhanov was told about the centre's activities.

The Computer-Aided Engineering Centre was set up in 2013 at the Russia's first SPbPU Educational, research and innovation laboratory “Computational Mechanics” with the participation of the strategic partner – SPbPU spin-out company "Computational Mechanics Laboratory" and a small innovative company "Polytech-Egineering".

Minnikhanov suggested organizing and holding a seminar with the participation of SPbPU and the engineering centre  specialists  in Tatarstan. According to him, the center's activity is a new, modern direction in engineering design.

Today, Tatarstan President also visited the SPbPU scientific and research centre and got acquainted with scientific developments at the exhibition of scientific and technical creativity of the youth.
