19 June 2017, Monday

On June 19, at his meeting with President and Chief Executive Officer for Strategic Development, Vice Chairman of General Electric (GE) John Rice in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that GE is a long-time partner of the republic.

Welcoming representatives of the company, Minnikhanov reminded that it has become a good tradition to meet annually to sum up the results and set perspective directions for further joint activities.

“Today, we will evaluate the results of the project, which was initiated at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2014. TAIF Company and General Electric together with Turkish GAMMA Company have successfully completed the construction of a new power-generating unit at Kazan Combined Heat and Power Plant-3,” Minnikhanov said.

According to him, this powerful and modern unit has been built based on advanced technologies. “The indicators that will be reached are unique to us. This is a perspective project,” he added.

Minnikhanov said that the regional leadership will continue to render overall support to GE projects implemented in the republic.
