Rustam Minnikhanov participates in opening of the World economic forum 2013 in Davos

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working trip in Davos (Switzerland) on January 22-23.

Main purpose of the trip is participation in opening of the World economic forum in Davos on the official Russian delegation led by Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev.

All discussions will be dedicated to the topic “Stable dynamism”. The event’s motto is “Entrepreneurship for the benefit of global society”.

On January 22, Rustam Minnikhanov participated in official opening of the World economic forum (Congress Centre, Congress Hall).

President of Tatarstan has a number of business meetings on the agenda during his stay in Davos. In particular, opportunities for further cooperation were discussed during the conversation with the founder of the World economic forum, Professor Klaus Schwab.

Annual World economic forum in Davos has been held since 1971. It is one of the world’s major platforms for discussing different economic issues.

Traditionally, top managers of the world’s largest companies, from oil to financial and media agencies, gather here. Dozens of plenary sessions, seminars and roundtables, bilateral and multilateral meetings of politicians take place within the framework of Davos meetings.

The mentioned events are aimed at discussing important political and economic problems in informal setting. Davos is famous not only for gathering influential people, such as heads of states and governments, leaders of global business, prominent scientists, economists and politologists. It also gives political opponents the opportunity to meet in informal setting.

Discussions in Davos traditionally, to a large extent, determine range of problems of the economic year.
