On August 30, the Republic Day, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in State Prizes named after Gabdulla Tukay. Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the event.
On August 30, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Chairman of State Council of the Republic of Crimea Remzi Ilyasov and Chairman of the Committee for Inter-ethnic Relations and Deported Citizens of the Republic of Crimea Zaur Smirnov discussed further cooperation in some spheres, including social and cultural relations, and progressive development of the Republic of Crimea.
On August 30, a sculptural composition illustrating a farmstead of the Tatar village dwellers was displayed to the public in the Old Tatar settlement. Students of the Kazan branch of the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov donated their works to the city. Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin also saw new sculptures.
The project of museum of theatrical art was presented to Tatarstan President on August 30. The museum of Tatar theatrical art is to be located in a reconstructed building in Tatarstan street, 8, opposite G.Kamal theatre.
On August 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, representatives of regional ministries and agencies took part in opening of new kindergarten “Umka” in Kazan. It is the only kindergarten in the republic with artificial ice rink.
On August 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated dwellers of Privolzhsky district in Kazan on the Republic Day and the City Day, and took part in opening of new improved yard territory.
On August 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited an exhibition of Tatarstan food manufacturers organized at Tatarstan Government House in the morning.
On August 30, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and A Just Russia's Chairman Sergey Mironov, who arrived in Kazan yesterday on August 29, discussed issues related social and economiс development of the republic, implementation of a number of programmes, including major repair of multi-apartment houses, schools, construction of kindergartens and other social issues.
