On May 9 a solemn flower-laying ceremony was held at Victory Park in Kazan. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the event.

A solemn flower-laying ceremony was held today at Arsk cemetery. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Yury Kamaltynov, Deputy Prime Minister - Chief of Staff of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan – Head of Department for Internal Policies of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksandr Terentiev, Head of Kazan Executive Committee Aleksey Pesoshin, veterans of Great Patriotic War, two heroes of the Soviet Union Sabir Akhtyamov and Boris Kuznetsov took part in the ceremony.

On May 8 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn event dedicated to celebration of 68th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, heads of ministries and agencies, municipalities, veterans of Great Patriotic War participated in the event.

On May 8 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with delegation of Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector in Kazan at Tatarstan Government House. Aide to Tatarstan President on international issues Radik Gimatdinov, Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Board Chairman of OAO “Ak Bars bank” Robert Minnegaliev took part in the event. Chairman of Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector Haled Al Abudi, officials of Turkish, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain companies are on the delegation.

On May 7 an extended session of Tatarstan Security Council, Coordination meeting on ensuring law and order, Anti-terrorist commission and Operation Headquarters was held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Kazan Kremlin.

New express tram has started running between “Solnechny gorod” micro district and railway station today. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, employees of city executive committee, MUP “Metroelectrotrans” and journalists were the first to travel by new tram.

On May 7 at a briefing dedicated to results of the visit of Tatarstan delegation to Indonesia Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov said that Indonesia is interested in cooperation with Tatarstan.
