Rustam Minnikhanov: “Bugulma motor pump plant faces positive prospects”

On July 22 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in opening of a new enterprise on producing electric cables for oil production industry at Bugulma motor pump plant.
In 2009 this enterprise was on the verge of bankruptcy. Later on, Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund purchased the plant and passed it on to a strategic investor represented by Veles Capital.
832 mln rubles were invested in the plant modernization and advanced high-tech equipment was purchased in the period of 2010-2012.
1080 employees currently work at the plant that produces items for the sum of 100 mln rubles.
Rustam Minnikhanov visited the joint enterprise Weatherford Machine Production that was founded in 2013 by an American company Weatherford and OAO “Bugulma motor pump plant”. OAO Rosneft, OAO Bashneft, OAO Tatneft will be main customers of the plant.
Tatarstan President also took part in opening of the enterprise for producing electric cables for oil production industry OOO “Noris”.
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed hope that products of new enterprise will be used at Tatneft and small oil companies in Tatarstan and outside the republic.
In his address on the occasion of the Russian Science Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated scientists, researchers and lecturers of the republic with the event and wrote: “Science has always been and remains one of the main driving forces of progress and foundation for the development of economy, social sphere and education. On February 3, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of opening XXI All-Russia competitions in fire-rescue sports for the Cup of the Tatarstan Prime Minister, held in the gym of the Chief Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan with participation of 21 teams from various regions of Russia - a total of about 430 people.
On 31 January, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin reported that capital overhaul of nine school in eight municipalities of the republic has started.
On 28 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in an extended joint meeting of the Main Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan and a collegium of the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergency Management and Natural Disaster Response of the republic which summarized results of work of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the republic in 2025 and set tasks for 2026.
In his keyword report the Head of the Main Directorate Irek Kadamov informed that there were 3 758 man-caused fires in the republic which killed 128 people and injured 177. Through joint efforts, we have managed to reduce the number of man-caused fires by more than 10%, the number of injured by 12 per cent, however the number of killed increased by 13 people, he said.
