Briefing in the Tatarstan Government House informs about current situation in the Agribusiness complex of the republic

On 2 June, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic held with all regions of the republic taking part in it via video conference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov told journalists about preparation and holding the International Agribusiness Exhibition AgroVolga and the current situation in the agribusiness.

He said that “it is not expected that bread prices will rise substantially in the republic”. “If we look at grain prices it could not be worth,” Marat Zyabbarov said.

At the same time he clarified that grain prices grew substantially in June, but added: “Bakery plants have certain expenses, such as those on flour, raw materials, electricity and gas, which are growing. This results in growing bread prices”.

Marat Zyabbarov also informed that the amount of subsidies covering part of expenses related to production and sales of social kinds of bread has been raised from 4.5 to 6 rubles per one kilo.

“Thus we regulate minimum growth of social bread prices,” the Minister emphasized.

Informing journalists about support provided to agribusiness complex in the republic, Marat Zyabbarov said “The leadership of Russia and Tatarstan attach great attention to agriculture. Despite budget limitations, it has been envisaged to allocate 13.7bn rubles, including 4.5bn from the federal and 9.2 bn rubles from the regional budgets for this purpose.”

 He also added: ”As of today farmers have already received 6.3bn rubles of subsidies , with the following 680m rubles coming in July.”

The Minister also informed that since the beginning of 2024 Tatarstan has purchased 1 300 units of agricultural machinery with the cost of 5.7bn rubles, including 174 tractors, 41 grain- and 20 forage harvesting combines.

On top of that the republic received 669 units of machinery with the cost of 4.8bn rubles from the Agroleasing Company.
