Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in annual shareholders meeting of OAO “TAIF”

On June 25, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in annual shareholders meeting of OAO “TAIF”. Results of work of TAIF group for 2014 were summarized at the meeting.
TAIF Director General Albert Shigabutdinov made report on results of work of TAIF group. He said that 2014 was the hardest and the most successful year for the company. Considering unfavourable geopolitical situation and economic crisis all efforts were focused on cost minimization, mobilization of domestic resources and increase work efficiency in all areas.
Due to timely actions the highest production and financial results have been achieved for the whole life cycle of the company.
In 2014, investment activity of the company was aimed at implementation of projects strategically important for Tatarstan and Russian economy. 38,9 billion roubles were invested in construction and reconstruction of production facilities, mainly in oil, gas and chemical sector.
The share of TAIF Group in oil production and distribution of electricity, gas and water makes 49 per cent. 6 billion roubles were allocated for realization of ecological and environmental measures, 2.6 billion roubles – for social, public and charity projects, 2.8 billion roubles – for maintenance of social and cultural facilities.
The average salary of the company employees increased to 37, 000 roubles per month. The 25th anniversary of a foreign trade research production association “Kazan” (VTNPO “Kazan”) that laid the foundation for OAO “TAIF” will be celebrated on September 17.
For 20 years the company proceeds made 3,184 trillion roubles, fixed asset investments exceeded 345 billion roubles, social expenditures made 146 billion roubles, taxes transferred to all budgets made 441 billion roubles.
During the meeting, the annual report and accounting statements were approved, and new Board of directors was elected.
Rustem Sulteev, First Deputy Director General was reelected the Board Chairman, and the powers of Director General Albert Shigabutdinov were confirmed.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
