The Tatarstan State Council has passed the law prolonging till 31 December 2025 the reduced tax rate from 5 to 1 per cent for IT-companies and entrepreneurs working by simplified taxation system in Inoppolis.

The Russia- a Country of Possibilities platform has started registration of the All-Russia competition Start the Game participant to search and develop talents in gaming industry, the finals of which will be held in Innopolis. The aim of the new project supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin is to unite all game developers, game-designers, programmers and all those who would like to start their career in gaming.
On July 1, TASS Information Agency hosted a press conference dedicated to the launch of a new all-Russian competition "Start the Game" based on the presidential platform "Russia - the Land of Opportunities", the final of which will be held in Innopolis in November 2022.

On 19 May Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maksim Reshetnikov visited Innopolis where he was met by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Roman Shaykhutdinov, the regional Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, the Mayor of the City of Innopolis Rustan Shagaleyev and other officials of the republic.
On 18 May at their meeting at the Innopolis University, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, a delegation from the Gazprom Transgas Tomsk headed by the Director General of the company Vladislav Borodin and the administration of the University discussed implementation of joint projects within the 2022-2023 road map.
On 22 March Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, Director of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Renat Khalimov, the Mayor of the city of Innopolis Ruslan Shagaleev and the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Tormasov, who arrived on a working visit to Uzbekistan as members of the official delegation of Tatarstan, had a number of meetings with representatives of the receiving party.
According to an agreement on cooperation signed by Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Innopolis University, specialists of the University Research center together with employees of the Ministry will develop software for AI analysis and semantic search of products in the catalogue of the State Information System of Industry. The work will be carried out within the Federal National Project of AI of the National Program of Digital Economy of the Russian Federation and parties have agreed to cooperate at all stages of implementation of innovative projects, organize joint events and research including the international ones.
On 8 February at its 15th meeting, the expert council on startup-projects of the Innopolis presided by the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov and with participation of the Director General of Innopolis Renat Khalimov, Mayor of the City of Innopolis Ruslan Shagaleyev, Director of the Innopolis University Kirill Semenikhin and more than 50 representatives of the venture market, reviewed start-up projects for their future implementation in the city.
