One of ideologists of the project “Electronic Government of the Republic of Tatarstan” and creators of the business portal TatCenter.ru, Doctor of Economics Aleksandr Yurtaev deceased on August 5.
On August 6 at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Danil Mustafin told about Solo touch typing contest, being held from August 1 to 15 in Tatarstan.
On August 6 at their meeting at the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of General Staff of Russian Armed Forces, First Deputy Minister of Defence Valery Gerasimov discussed prospects of development and expansion of Tatarstan major military institutions – Kazan Suvorov Military School and Kazan Higher Military Command School.
On August 6 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov presented state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan to 54 citizens at the Kazan Kremlin.

On August 5 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting on implementation of Innopolis, Kama innovation cluster and regional engineering centers projects. Russian Deputy Minister of Finance Andrey Ivanov took part in the meeting.

On August 4 at a weekly regional meeting chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov Vice-Premier – Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov said that grain crops were harvested two times slower than last year due to rains.

On August 3 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev took part in 13th federal Sabantui in Tyumen. The celebrations took place at “Geologist” stadium. Guests could see expositions of Tatar national culture and life, dramatized performances and traditional competitions. 380 representatives of Tatar public organisations from 64 Russian regions took part in Sabantui celebrations.
On August 3 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev visited the Cathedral Mosque and Centre of Tatar culture in Tyumen.

On August 2 the second concert of the 25th season of the Salavat song theatre headed by a Russian Honoured artist, People’s Artist of Tatarstan, Gabdulla Tukai State Prize laureate, popular singer Salavat Fatkhetdinov took place in Kazan.
