On June 16 Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev took part in Tatar national holiday Sabantui in Semey (Kazakhstan) where the holiday is celebrated every year under the auspice of local Mayor’s office. Representatives of all nations living in the region gather at Sabantui celebrations.

On June 16 Tatarstan delegation led by State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Abai Kunanbauev museum during their trip to Semey town (Kazakhstan). The delegation was accompanied by East-Kazakhstan region Mayor Berdybek Saparbaev and City Mayor Aibek Karimov.

On June 16 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who took part in Sabantui in Almaty (Kazakhstan), said that the celebrations took place in the most beautiful place, “Sunkar” ski complex.
