On May 5 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was on a working trip in several Tatarstan regions to inspect the sowing campaign. Rybnaya Sloboda region was the first place he visited. Rustam Minnikhanov met with heads of farmsteads.

On May 5 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated orthodox Christians on Easter holiday.
“Dear orthodox Christians! Let me congratulate you on the end of the Great Fast and the Easter Sunday! The Easter holiday has always symbolized belief, salvation, and revival for new, free life. It has traditionally carried inexhaustible love, mercy and absolution, made people more kind, pure and sympathetic.

During the visit to Jakarta Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with First Vice-Minister of Industry of Indonesia Alex Retraubun. Rustam Minnikhanov focused on most perspective areas of cooperation between Tatarstan and Indonesia and told about economic potential of Tatarstan. He said that Russia’s joining the WTO opens new opportunities for Tatarstan export companies, and Tatarstan leadership can provide favourable conditions for foreign investors.

A working meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Cisco Vice-president Andy MacDonald was held in Dubai within the framework of III Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai.

“Smart City Kazan” project was officially launched at III Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Vice-President, UAE Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum participated in the event.
