A festive event dedicated to Mawlid, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad was held in Tatar state theatre of drama and comedy named after K.Tinchurin (Kazan) on February, 20. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the event.
President of the Republic of Tatarstan has met with President of JSC “Russian railways” Vladimir Yakunin in Moscow. Realization of several investment projects by JSC “Russian railways” in Tatarstan was discussed at the meeting.
The conference of RT judges is being held today in Kazan. RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov takes part in the event. Making the report on fulfilled work Chairman of the republican Supreme Court Ilgiz Gilazov informed that last year 728 thousand 397 cases were considered by courts of general jurisdiction. The decrease of criminal cases was observed in 2011. 19 thousand 955 people were convicted by courts of general jurisdiction (RT Supreme Court, regional and city courts and justice of peace). The number of convicts has decreased by 10,9 % in comparison with 2010.

The Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments has received the “Certificate of world Guinness Records” from the Commission of the Guinness Book of Records.
The Certificate reads,
“The world’s biggest printed Koran with the following parameters: hight – 2 m( 6 feet 6,74 inches), width – 1,52 m (4 feet, 11,84 inches), thickness – 0,17 m (6,69 inches), made by ARC Group S.R.L company (Italy), masters Nejan Bratasevich, Andrey Chernatich (Slovenia) and Mauro Loche (Italy), handed over to Kul-Sharif Mosque (Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan) by the Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments (Russia) on November, 17, 2011”.
The Certificate reads,

Rural areas cannot develop without livestock industry, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated at a republican agricultural seminar-meeting on issues of agro-industrial complex. The meeting was held in Mamadysh municipal region (regional House of culture).
“Agriculture is not just an industry, it is life,” President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at a republican agricultural seminar-meeting on issues of agro-industrial complex. He reminded that life of 1 mln Tatarstaners living in the country is connected with agriculture. Rustam Minnikhanov believes that village is the very place where we can keep our customs, traditions and culture. That is why we have to take care of it.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working visit in Mamadysh municipal region of the Republic of Tatarstan. He is accompanied by RT State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, Deputy PM – minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, heads of ministries and agencies of republic, heads of municipal regions of RT.

Issues connected with housing provision for veterans of Great Patriotic War, functioning of housing and utilities complex, fight against corruption and short-lived companies have been discussed today at a meeting on issues of performing orders of President of the Russian Federation. The meeting in format of video conference with all subjects of federation was held by RF President Dmitry Medvedev.
