On June 18, Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev, who arrived in Kazan to take part in the 5th international meeting of high representatives supervising security issues (June 19, Korston hotel & mall), was met by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of the Interior Artem Khokhorin, and Secretary of Tatarstan Security Council Valery Vlasov at Kazan international airport.
On June 18, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Experimental Design Bureau named after Simonov in Kazan.
On June 18, prospects of the substitution of import components of Russian defence industry by domestic products were discussed at a meeting held by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, heads of Tatarstan defence industrial enterprises took part in the meeting.
On June 18, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of laying the first stone in the foundation of a new plant OAO “Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant – Silicone” to manufacture organic-silicon products.
On June 18, Memorandum of understanding was signed between OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” and CNCEC (China National Chemical Engineering Corporation) at the Kazan Kremlin.

On June 17, speaking at the 21st World Petroleum Congress in Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that sustainable oil production is the basis for the development of petrochemical and oil refining enterprises in Tatarstan.
On June 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a session of the Governmental commission on competition and development of small and medium businesses held by First Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov at Russian Government House.
On June 17, at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers, Aide to Tatarstan President Olesya Baltusova, Deputy Minister of Culture Svetlana Persova, and First Deputy Head of Kazan executive committee for transport, land and property Rustam Nigmatullin reported on restoration of objects in the historic centre of Kazan.

On June 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with delegation of the South Moravian Region, the Czech Republic, led by the Governor Michal Hašek.
On June 16, speaking at a session of the Guardian Council of Kazan Federal University, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University will hold firm positions in the world educational system in the near future.
