On June 6, at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Head of Tatarstan Ministry for Civil Defence and Emergency Situations Rafis Khabibullin offered introducing an emergency regime in the republic from June 7, 2014 and a special fire preventive regime from June 7 to July 1, 2014 until further orders because of hot and dry weather and fire hazardous season.

On June 6, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met with Qatar Ambassador to Russia Saud Abdullah Al Mahmoud and Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sultan Al-Khater, who took part in 6th international economic summit of Russia and OIC countries Kazansummit 2014.

On June 6, on the 215th anniversary of Aleksandr Pushkin and Day of the Russian language, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov laid flowers to  Aleksandr Pushkin monument near M.Dzhalil Tatar academic state opera and ballet theatre.

On June 6, at their meeting in Kazan OAO “Russian railways” Senior Vice-President of President of non-profit partnership “Association of Producers of Railway Equipment” Valentin Gapanovich and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov discussed cooperation on some infrastructure projects, including construction of high-speed railway line “Moscow-Kazan”.

On June 5, participants of the Tatarstan-Emirates business forum that was held within the framework of Kazansummit-2014 discussed development of mutual investment cooperation between Tatarstan and UAE.

On June 5, at his meeting with X5 Retail Group executives during the 6th International economic summit of Russia and OIC countries Kazansummit 2014, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is ready for further cooperation with the company.

On June 5, during the 6th International economic summit of Russia and OIC countries Kazansummit 2014, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori discussed further mutually beneficial cooperation.

On June 5, speaking at the strategic forum “Russia and OIC countries: interaction of investors, business, and authorities in solving problems of strategic safety” during Kazansummit forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the forum helps demonstrating investment potential of Russian regions, openness and readiness for communication, and establishing cooperation between Russia and Islamic countries.
