For the present moment goods turnover between Tatarstan and Kazakhstan is $ 700 million. Rustam Minnikhanov considers that this figure may be increased at the expense of petrochemistry and oil refinery.

A large-scale exhibition “High technologies for regions. Frontier cooperation” was held in Kazakhstan on September, 22. Kazakhstan was presented by 10 frontier regions, Russia – by 16 regions.

Tatarstan delegation arrived in Aktyubinsk (Kazakhstan) to take part in V Forum of the heads of Russian and Kazakhstan frontier regions. Delegation consists of RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, First Deputy Prime Minister Boris Pavlov, Minister of Economy Marat Safiullin, plenipotentiary of Tatarstan in Kazakhstan Ildus Tarkhanov.

Manufacturers from Tatarstan districts organized traditional autumn fair for citizens in Kazan markets. The production of crop sector, animal husbandry, birds, grain, and construction materials was presented at the fair.

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of State Corporation “Vnesheconombank” Vladimir Dmitriev signed the agreement about financing of the project - construction of new integrated complex producing ammonia, methanol, granulated carbamide in Mendeleevsk (Tatarstan) at VII International investment forum “Sochi-2008”.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, Minister of Economy Marat Safiullin, Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Marat Bariev and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the meeting. France was presented by officials of business society.

Tatarstan delegation headed by RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov started working at investment Forum “Sochi-2008”.
Head of RT Government visited republic exposition and took part in plenary session. Tatarstan exposition will also be presented to RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

Tatarstan is ready to realize the program of capital repair in multifamily houses within realization of Law “About housing reform assistance Fund” in less than 3 years.
Rustam Minnikhanov considers that if Housing reform assistance Fund sets the limits for 2009-2010 it’ll allow saving money and doing repair works for 30 % more.
Tatarstan is the leader among Russian regions in using of funds and realization of the program of capital repair in municipal districts.

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov approved the development modernization plan of international airport “Kazan” presented by the management of “Himimport” holding (Bulgaria). Reconstruction and construction of new objects will help airport “Kazan” to achieve modern international standards, improve the service of passengers and provide stable growth of passengers flow.

On September, 19 Tatarstan will present its investment potential. Projects in transport machine construction, building industry, instrument engineering equipment and material production will be presented at Forum besides investment projects in petrochemistry.
