On February 26 in the interview of some federal media agencies Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan State Council and World Congress of Tatars call Crimean Tatars for peaceful and harmonious relations with Russians living in Crimea.

On February 26 at their meeting in Kazan Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Director of Ertico – ITS Europe Partnership Services and Communication Department Rasmus Lindholm discussed cooperation in the sphere of traffic safety, immediate response in road accidents, ensuing of safe transportation of vehicles and freight through international transport corridors in Russia and EU countries.
On February 26 Prime-Minister Ildar Khalikov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Viktor Chirkov, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Tatarstan ministries and departments, administration of Zelenodolsk region and JSC “Holding Company “Ak Bars” took part in a solemn keel-laying ceremony of a leading patrol ship of project 22160 at OAO “Zelenodolsk plant named after A.M. Gorky”.

On February 25 State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, a famous ballet dancer, ballet-master, choreographer, theatre director, People’s Artist of the USSR Vladimir Vasiliev and representatives of a French company Telmondis, one of the world’s largest broadcasters of major cultural events, watched a ballet “The Golden Horde” at Musa Dzhalil Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
On February 25 Deputy Prime Minister Yury Kamaltynov arrived in Mamadysh region with a working visit to take part in a summary session of the local Council. He also looked around some local organisations and took part in a solemn opening of a 40-apartment house in Mamadyshsky township.
On February 25 First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who took part in the 26th summary session of Laishevo region, noted rapid development of the region.
On February 25 at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House Deputy Minister of Education and Science – Head of Department for Supervision and Control in the Sphere of Education of the Ministry of Education and Science Ravil Khamitov said that no tendency of the so-called “Unified State Exam-tourism”, when students of 11th form change schools within the republic and other Russian regions, was revealed in Tatarstan.
