The Russian Minister of transport Igor Levitin has got acquainted with adaptive automated traffic control system that is being currently implemented in Kazan. Head of the Russian transport ministry was accompanied by the Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov. Switching of traffic lights is now controlled by the second-generation automated system in Kazan. Switching modes are changed in accordance with the fixed schedule.
The Russian Minister of the interior Rashid Nurgaliev and Minister of transport Igor Levitin arrived in Kazan on February, 28. The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov met the ministers at the international airport “Kazan”.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Head of RF National medical chamber Leonid Roshal. A famous pediatric surgeon, Doctor of Medicine, professor, Director of National research institute of emergency pediatric surgery and traumatology, member of the Russian Public chamber Leonid Roshal has arrived in Kazan to deliver a lecture.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with players and coaching staff of the hockey team “Ak Bars”. Before play-off matches Head of republic addressed the players wishing them good luck.
State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of board of guardians of “Vozrozhdenie” Fund Mintimer Shaimiev thanked everyone who is actively involved in charitable actions and events held in republic. “By starting from some insignificant things, initiating good deeds, we obtained the response, our multi-ethnic people heard the call for doing good,” Mintimer Shaimiev said at the official ceremony of awarding the winners of Republican contest for title «Benefactor of 2011».
