On 7 April the Chairperson of the Rosbank Board of Directors Natalya Voevodina came to Innopolis where, accompanied by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, she visited the main IT-facilities of the city and tested the unmanned taxi.
On March 18, Innopolis hosted the 21st expert council on startups dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone. Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov, Director General of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone Renat Khalimov, Mayor of Innopolis Ruslan Shagaleev and other invited experts took part in the selection of the best projects for their further development in the IT city.
On January 25, speaking at a meeting of the Government of the republic dedicated to results of the Digitalization Year in Tatarstan in 2022, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov spoke about the main results of the Innopolis Innovation Centre in 2022 and the tasks for 2023.
On December 26, under the annual “The Christmas Tree of Wishes” charity campaign, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov fulfilled the dream of a young Tatarstan resident, 12-year-old Ruslan Habibullin from Naberezhnye Chelny, to visit the city of high technologies Innopolis.
Ruslan is fond of programming: he assembles and disassembles computers, buys the necessary elements, and also attends classes at the Quantorium children's technopark with pleasure.
On October 27, residents of the city of Innopolis, as well as employees of Atomdata-Innopolis, a subsidiary of the Rosenergoatom concern (part of the electric power division of the Rosatom State Corporation), planted 63 coniferous trees and 50 shrubs. The total area planted was 3,700 square meters.
Following a meeting of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Supervisory Board held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in the regional Cabinet of Ministers on 17 October, Transnational Power Company Gazprom VNIIGAS has become a partner of the SEZ and is planning to establish a center of competences for interaction with scientific organizations and IT companies of Tatarstan.
On 23 September the Startups Experts Council, consisting of representatives of the venture market, investments funds and Innopolis, held on the sidelines of the Kazan Digital Week forum reviewed seven new IT projects.
Projects approved by the Experts Council are given the status of the resident of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Innopolis that gives a number of advantages to companies, such as reduced taxes, access to co-working and educational practices from leading IT specialists, services from partners for the amount of 1m roubles, help in head hunting and other preferences.
The Tatarstan State Council has passed the law prolonging till 31 December 2025 the reduced tax rate from 5 to 1 per cent for IT-companies and entrepreneurs working by simplified taxation system in Inoppolis.
On 9 September Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, Mayor of Innopolis Ruslan Shagaleyev and Director General of Innopolis Special Economic Zone Renat Khalimov took part in an opening ceremony of CrossConf conference that gathered more than 600 participants, representing IT developers, managers and people interested in high-tech.
On 9 June, speaking at the ceremonial events on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the youngest city in Russia – Innopolis, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov congratulated the city and its residents with its birthday.
