On February 2, in Moscow, Russian Minister of Sport Vitaly Mutko and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the meeting on preparation for XVI World Aquatics Championship to be hosted in Kazan in 2015.

On January 31, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov held the first off-site meeting in Nizhnekamsk on preparation for 50th anniversary of the city.
