On April 17, during his two-day working visit to Hong Kong (April 16-17) Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Financial Secretary of Hong Kong John Tsang. The parties exchanged their opinions on economic and investment opportunities available in Hong Kong and Tatarstan.
On April 17, opening II International Conference “Quality and Risk Management at Medical Institutions”, Tatarstan Prime Minister reminded of the need to create an ongoing quality management system at medical institutions.
On April 17 during the presentation of Tatarstan investment and scientific-technical potential in Hong Kong, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that global US, European and Turkish companies are successfully running their business in Tatarstan, where all conditions are provided for investors. However, cooperation between Tatarstan and South Eastern Asia is not well developed yet, he noted.
On April 17 at a meeting at Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan and Hong Kong have serious prospects for cooperation. Tatarstan is interested in developing cooperation with Hong Kong in the sphere of economy, innovations, logistics, and infrastructure projects.
On April 17 opportunities and prospects of Hong Kong Science and Technology Park were presented to Tatarstan delegation led by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. Vice-President of Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Mr Ben Lui answered questions of Tatarstan delegation.
On April 17, at their meeting in Hong Kong, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Board Chairman of Meridian Capital Mark Holtzman discussed the issues of cooperation in such areas as agriculture and processing, biotechnology, public-private partnership in the field of medicine, as well as cooperation in the field of development.
On April 16, in the evening, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Hong Kong on a working visit. Hong Kong is the next city where business meetings and negations will be held within the framework of Tatarstan delegation’s working visit to China.
