The Republic of Tatarstan was not occasionally chosen as a place for holding the session of Commission on modernization and technological development of Russian economy,- much is done here in the sphere of increasing energy efficiency. This was announced today by President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev in Naberezhnye Chelny (the Republic of Tatarstan) while opening the session on issues of realizing regional programs on increasing energy efficiency. By his words, introduction of energy-saving technologies will let to increase competitiveness of our goods and services, create new industries, and will improve ecological situation and quality of life upon the whole.

President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has visited Complex of oil-refining and petrochemical plants in Nizhnekamsk (the Republic of Tatarstan). This site (project of JSC “TANECO”) has become the first point of program during his staying in Tatarstan. We remind that today the plane with Russian President and accompanying him officials anded in Begishevo airport where he was received by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.Within the frameworks of visit to Complex of oil-refining and petrochemical plants in Nizhnekamsk Director General of JSC “TANECO” Khamza Bagmanov briefly presented the project. Thus, the project of Complex consists of three plants - oil-refining, plant of deep refining and a petrochemical plant. The main investor and coordinator of project realization is JSC “Tatneft”, the customer is JSC“TANECO”.

On October, 25 President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in session of RF State Council Presidium dedicated to social policy in relations to elderly people and improving level of their life. The event was held by RF President Dmitry Medvedev. Speaking to participants of the session, Dmitry Medvedev announced that care of elderly people is a state priority in our country. He reminded that today 30 mln. of elderly people live in Russia. One part of life quality of elderly people is medical aid and stable prices for medicines. President of Russia paid special attention to the state of social institutions where elderly people also live. Besides RF President thinks that it is necessary to enhance the prestige of profession of social workers.

RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov have been on a business trip to Rostov oblast and took part in travelling meeting “On results of holding autumn field works and development of livestock sector”. The meeting was held by Chairman of RF government Vladimir Putin. First deputy chairman of RF government Viktor Zubkov, Minister of agriculture Elena Skrynnik, heads of core ministries and departments, RF regions, agricultural enterprises took part in the event. The key issues for discussion were results of work of Russian agro-industrial complex in current year taking into account measures of state support of farms and regions suffered from drought in 2010. Also the main areas of developing agricultural sector in 2011 were debated at the meeting.

Currently 39158 people in Tatarstan are still unemployed. But there is a tendency of decreasing unemployment level. From the beginning of year number of the unemployed has decreased for 17 000 people. Such information has been given by Deputy Minister of labor, employment and social protection Klara Tazetdinova at the session of Republican interdepartmental commission on increasing level of life and income legalization. The session was held in format of video conference in RT Cabinet chaired by First vice-premier Ravil Muratov.

Every ministry and department in Tatarstan should elaborate and accept the plan of concrete measures on realizing the program of Energy resource saving. This was announced today by RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov at the session of RT Cabinet presidium on issues of goals in the sphere of energy resource saving and ways of their realization by the example of RT Ministry of labor, employment and social protection.Opening the session, Ildar Khalikov noted that issues of energy resource saving is today one of strategic areas in activity of RT government. By his words this problem is urgent for all ministries and departments in republic. Auditor of RT Accounts chamber Sergey Kolodnikov reported on results of audit conducted in subordinate institutions of RT Ministry of labor in the sphere of energy resource saving.

All works on multi-apartment houses which underwent the program of major repairs 2010, have been finished. This was said today by RT Minister of construction, architecture and housing Marat Khusnullin at republican meeting on issue of conducting major repairs (realization of FL 185 “About Fund of assistance to reformation of housing and communal services”).The meeting was held by RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov in format of video conference with participation of all municipal formations.By words of Marat Khusnullin, out of 1136 multi-apartment houses which had been repaired, State housing inspection accepted documents only by 1 000 houses (88 % of total number). He asked to speed up works on handing in the documents.

Mrs Kazimira Danute Prunskene invited Tatarstan to take part in competitions of Baltic basketball league 2011-2012. She informed about it at the meeting with RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov that was held in House of RT government. Former Prime Minister of Lithuanian republic, leader of the party Lithuanian people’s union Kazimira Prunskene is in Kazan with two-day visit (October, 20-21). Yesterday Kazimira Prunskene visited RT Ministry of agriculture and foodstuff where she discussed perspectives of cooperation in processing industry and foodstuff sector with the Minister Marat Akhmetov. Ildar Khalikov noted that people still remember her name and her activity in Tatarstan and Kazan. He hoped that Mrs. Prunskene would see the highlights of Tatarstan capital, hold planned meetings and negotiations concerning the projects to be realized in future.

Russian-Turkish business forum “Strategy of innovative development of auto component of industrial cluster in RF” opened in Kazan in GTRK “Korston”. RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the forum. The plenary session was held by state secretary, deputy minister of regional development of Russia Yury Osintsev. He read out welcoming speech of Deputy Chairman of RF government Igor Sechin addressed to participants of the event: “RF government put much emphasis on consecutive broadening of Russian-Turkish strategic partnership. Turkey is one of the largest trade-economic partners of Russia. Our goal is to enrich this partnership by concrete practical actions, diversify trade-economic relations. Forum will facilitate confidential dialogue between Russian and Turkish business societies and open new opportunities for new projects and initiatives in the sphere of developing auto component cluster in RF”.

RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Russian Federation Mr Aidyn Sezgin. The meeting was held in House of RT government. Parties discussed perspectives of further cooperation, exchanged opinions about the state of current relationships between Tatarstan and Turkish Republic. In particular, Ildar Khalikov noted that today political contacts form economic relations. In the first half-year foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Turkey made 871 mln. US dollars. Two large projects are being realized on the territory of special economic zone “Alabuga” with participation of Turkish companies. Cultural relations are developing likewise – Turkey participated in festival of Muslim cinema that was held in Kazan. “The fact that Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey is the guest at Russian-Turkey Business Forum "Strategy of innovation development of auto-component industrial cluster in Russian Federation" (October, 20-22, 2010) enhances the status of event”, - Ildar Khalikov said.
