On April 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov inspected construction works at major construction sites in Kazan.

The first site was the logistics post center near Kazan airport. The new complex will be used for receiving, customs clearing, and sorting of postal deliveries. According to the Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, the main purpose of the project is to support the growing flow of electronic commerce and import of goods. The complex will handle 1 mln deliveries per 24 hours. The official opening is planned for the beginning of summer.

On April 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated a women’s volleyball team Dinamo-Kazan on the victory in the European Volleyball Confederation Cup. The Kazan team outplayed the Italian club Busto Arsizio on April 15.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Orthodox citizens on Easter.

On April 15, speaking at a regional video conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of all municipalities at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov said that large -scale field works will start in the republic in the next few days. He reported that first of all, winter crops and perennial grasses will be fertilized, adding that Buinsk, Zainsk, Apastovsky, Alkeyev, Sarmanovo, Novosheshminsk, Muslyumovo municipal regions have already proceeded to fertilizing. 

On April 15, at a meeting at Tatarstan Government House held by President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities of the republic Irek Faizullin reported that work on relocation of citizens from dilapidated houses is underway in the republic, adding that 4,338 agreements to buy out 158,000 square metres of the total number of 4,913 facilities for 180,171 square metres were concluded.

On April 13, at the Kazan Arena Stadium, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Organizing Committee “Russia-2018” Vitaly Mutko held a meeting on the preparation and holding of test events during the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017.

On April 13, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Organizing Committee “Russia-2018” Vitaly Mutko, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan, was met by Acting Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport of the republic Vladimir Leonov at the Kazan International Airport. 

On April 11, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Head of the Federal Tax Service of the republic Marat Safiullin said that residents of the republic will be able to file a tax return online through Individual Taxpayer Accounts on the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia without leaving their home.

On April 11, at the Government House of the republic, Acting Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin had a meeting with representatives of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia.

On April 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is paying a working visit to the USA. Minister of Education and Science of the republic Engel Fattakhov, Minister of Information and Communication of the repubic Roman Shaikhutdinov, Tatarstan Minister of Health Adel Vafin, CEO of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, representatives of regional special economic zones and leading enterprises are accompanying Minnikhanov.
