Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, charged with a task to speed up a timeline of as-built technical documentation preparation to of the construct projects of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex in Nizhnekamsk (OAO TANECO).This matter was discussed at the meeting with participation of Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the republic, Shafagat Takhautdinov, Director General of OAO Tatneft and contracting companies representatives on the 31th of January in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Board session of JSC “Tatneftehiminvest-holding” was held in RT Cabinet under chairmanship of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. Results of activity of RT enterprises of oil-gas-chemical complex in 2010 and objectives for 2011 and a number of perspective projects were discussed at the session.The state of oil-gas-chemical complex in republic was characterized by stabilization and improvement of financial-economic situation at enterprises. This was said by Director General of JSC “Tatneftehiminvest-holding” Rafinat Yarullin. By his words, increase of production rates was observed almost in all spheres in comparison with 2008. Oil sector has remained the largest source of revenues into republican budget.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has held a regular meeting of the JSC Tatneft board of directors that he chairs. The meeting took place at the House of Government.The meeting summed up the JSC Tatneft’s budget performance in 2010 and approved a budget plan for February 2011.The board heard a report on the department of internal audit management’s performance, including enhancing the electronic trading floor, controlling the use of funds within the project in Libya, et cetera.

Today, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov plans to meet with cooperating companies of the Joint Stock Company “KAMAZ” in Davos (Switzerland). Sergey Kogogin, the Director General of the Joint Stock Company “KAMAZ”, will take part in negotiations.Iskander Muflikhanov, Aide to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, reported that today there will be conversation between Rustam Minnikhanov and Alberto Verme, the Chief Executive Director of the European, Middle Eastern and African Affairs of the “City bank”.Then, there will be meeting with John Davies, the Vice President of Intel Corporation.Besides, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, will discuss a number of economic problems with Klaus Schwab, the founder of the World Economic Froum.

Issues of further cooperation were discussed at the meeting between RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and President of European Bank of reconstruction and development Tomas Mirov. By words of Aide to Tatarstan President Iskander Muflikhanov, the parties discussed cooperation on project of developing city infrastructure of Kazan, and attraction of loans from EBRD for JSC “Tatneft” and the second construction stage of JSC “TANECO” (Complex of oil-refining and petrochemical plants in Nizhnekamsk). Finally, it was decided to create a working group to continue negotiations. Besides, RT President Rustam Minnikhanov held meeting with leadership of JSC “Yokogawa Electric” (the company is engaged into investment projects of oil-gas-chemical complex of Tatarstan).

RT Delegation will take part in solemn ceremony of opening XXV World winter sport student games (winter Universiade 2011). We remind that winter Universiade 2011 is being held in Erzurum city (Turkey).Sportsmen from more than 55 countries will take part in competitions by 11 kinds of sport: downhill skiing, biathlon, ski racing, jumping race, curling, hockey, speed skating, short track, ski jumping, snowboard and figure skating. By and large about 3 000 sportsmen will take part in competitions.260 sportsmen will present Russia at XXV winter Universiade in Erzurum. By words of Head of Russian delegation, President of Russian student sport union, member of FISU executive committee Oleg Matytsin, winter Universiade 2011 is the first rehearsal of Olympic Games - 2014in Sochi.

The capital of Tatarstan-Kazan is a positive example of how a multiethnic and multi-confessional Russian region may be attractive for foreign investments. This was announced today by First deputy chairman of Russian Government Igor Shuvalov in Davos (Switzerland).Speaking at World economic forum within the limits of morning session “Russia is on the way to modernization” , First Vice-premier of Russia presented his view of further development of the country. In particular, it implies focus on economy based on innovations and education and transfer from resources-based economy. In opinion of Igor Shuvalov, people make major capital in the country, thus the priority objective in Russia is creation of comfortable conditions for people’s life.

RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in extended session of republican Pension Fund dedicated to results of activity in 2010 and key tasks for 2011.Ildar Khalikov gave positive assessment to those innovations in work of Pension Fund that were demonstrated in the Department after the meeting. These are new info systems, client places, and distant paper work. By words of Head за КЕ Government such experience should be used by other ministries and institutions. Ildar Khalikov stressed that due to work of employees of Pension Fund the system which provides timely payment of pensions and benefits, realization of pension rights of future pensioners, collection and administration of insurance fees.

Today, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov will hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Thomas Mirov in Davos (Switzerland).It will be recalled that the President of the Republic of Tatarstan is in Davos on a working visit for participation in the World Economic Forum (January, 25-27, 2011).As it was reported by Iskander Muflikhanov, Aide to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the place of the World Economic Forum in Davos will be effectively used in order to hold bilateral meetings, workshops and negotiations of projects with the potential partners of the Republic of Tatarstan.

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov is in Davos (Switzerland) and takes part in work of 41st World economic forum. The key topic of current forum in Davos will be “General standards of new reality”. The topic of annual session of World economic forum-2011 is based on four interrelated sections: response to new reality, economic prospects for the future and determination of policy of further global development, maintenance of program “G20” and creation of mechanism of reacting to global challenges. In connection with terrorist attacks in “Domodedovo” organizers of forum corrected the program of session paying attention to problems of terrorism.
