On April 26 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture Dusen Kaseinov, delegation from Eskisehir province led by the Governor, Chairman of the agency “Eskisehir – cultural capital of Turkic world” Güngör Azim Tuna took part in a solemn opening of the year “Kazan is the capital of Turkic world-2014” at Musa Dzhalil Opera and Ballet Theatre.

On April 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Ashkhabad with an official visit (April 26-27) to hold working meetings and take part in Turkmen Racing Horse Festival, met with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov at the Palace Complex in Ashkhabad.

On April 26 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, TÜRKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kaseinov, Acting Vice-Premier of Crimea Lenur Islyamov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, deputies of regional parliament, heads of regional ministries and agencies, representatives of artistic intelligentsia and guests visiting Tatarstan capital took part in solemn flower-laying ceremony to the monument of Gabdulla Tukai in Kazan.

On April 25, at his meeting with Turkish delegation, which is taking part in opening of the year “Kazan – cultural capital of Turkic world 2014” at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted rapidly growing economic partnership between Tatarstan and Turkey.

On April 25, at a field meeting of Military-industrial commission under the Government of the Russian Federation held by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Rogozin at IT Park in Naberezhnye Chelny, results of two-day conference on implementation of lean production at organisations of defense industry complex and antimonopoly requirements in the sphere of state defense orders were summed up.

On April 25, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met with Turkish Ambassador to Russia Aydin Sezgin, who arrived in Kazan to take part in opening of the year "Kazan-cultural capital of Turkic world 2014".
