On July 15 Tatarstan State Counsellor, Senior Advisor to the President of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) Mintimer Shaimiev took part in awarding ceremony of the chess tournament winners within the framework of 27th World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.

I am sure that student sport will always be on a high level in Russia and Tatarstan,” Rustam Minnikhanov said at the opening of FISU scientific conference “University and Olympic sport-two models, one goal?” (July 14-17).
