The Republic of Tatarstan and Leningrad region can and should cooperate in many economic sectors – engineering, agriculture, transport sphere. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has expressed such idea at the meeting with governor of Leningrad region Valery Serdyukov which was held in St.Petersburg in Government building of Leningrad region.
The itinerary of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in Leningrad region has started from laying flowers at the monument to great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai. Vice-governor of Leningrad region – plenipotentiary of Governor of Leningrad region in Legislative Assembly Aleksandr Kuznetsov and members of Tatarstan delegation - RT Vice-premier – minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Minister of transport and road facilities Lenar Safin also laid flowers at the monument in a square at the corner of Zverinskaya street and Kronverksky avenue.

President of Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working trip in Leningrad region (September 19-20, 2011). On September, 19 Head of Tatarstan arrived in St.Petersburg. At the “Pulkovo” airport he was met by Vice-governor of Leningrad region – plenipotentiary of Governor of Leningrad region in Legislative Assembly Aleksandr Kuznetsov and Chairman of Committee on external economic and interregional relations of Leningrad region Vladimir Kolesnikov.
International congress on organic chemistry dedicated to 150-anniversary of opening theory of organic compounds structure by native of Chistopol town, founder of Kazan school of organic chemists Aleksandr Butlerov has started in Kazan. Forum is being held within the framework of International year of chemistry announced by the UN General Assembly.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Mexican United States in Russian Federation Alfredo Peres Bravo. The meeting was held in House of RT Government with participation of RT Deputy Premier – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, RT Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Chief of RT Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Deputy Director-general of JSC “Holding company Ak Bars” Sergei Mukhin and others.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan republic Ildar Khalikov held meeting on developing technopark of industrial technologies “Innovative technological center “KNIAT”. The event was held on the territory of Kazan research institute of aviation technology (Kazan, Dementiev str., 2 в). Representatives of the institute and its partner companies, Ministry of industry and trade, Agency for investment development attended the meeting.
Perm region and Bashkortostan become Tatarstan partners upon the project “Universal electronic card”
Memorandum on creating interregional authorized organization for joint realization of project “Universal electronic card” has been signed by Tatarstan, Perm region and Bashkortostan in the course of international investment forum in Sochi. In the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov the document was signed by Vice-premier – Minister of info and communications Nikolai Nikiforov, Deputy Premier of Bashkortostan Marat Mulyukov and Head of agency for investment development of Perm region Denis Mironov.

State Corporation “Bank of development and external economic activity (Vnesheconombank)” has concluded loan agreements with OOO “Ford Sollers Holding”, OOO “Ford Sollers Elabuga” and ZAO “Ford Motor Company” for the total sum of 36 bln. roubles. President of Tatarstan Rustam minnikhanov attended the event.
Promising patterns of investments in Tatarstan economy on the part of JSC “Sbernank Rossii” have been discussed today in Sochi at international investment forum during the meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with managing partner of consulting subsidiary of the Sberbank Rossii - Strategy Partners Aleksandr Idrisov. Head of RT Agency for investment development Linar Yakupov, Director of Department for external relations – Aide to President of Tatarstan Iskander Muflikhanov attended the meeting.
“Head of Russian regions should be able to strike a happy medium in relationships of federal and regional authorities”, - President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated during the discussion at business lunch of Savings Bank of Russia “Russian regions: modernization or marginalization? Formula of success” within the limits of X international investment forum in Sochi. Chairman of the JSC “Savings Bank of Russia” Board German Gref led the discussion.
