Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Senegal Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Mamadou Saliu Diouf have today discussed prospects for economic and cultural cooperation at a meeting at the Cabinet of Ministers.The Senegalese ambassador immediately after the meeting told journalists the Republic of Senegal was interested in developing economic, public and cultural cooperation with Tatarstan, every condition for which was available. “The populations of Tatarstan and Senegal have much in common. The Muslim religion is widespread in both republics. The Republic of Tatarstan is well-known thanks to the JSC Kamaz products and the Tatarstan’s team's participation in the Paris-Dakar rally race,” the guest said.The Tatarstan President director of the external relations department, aide to Tatarstan President on international affairs Timur Akulov said Senegal was an emerging country with a high potential. The republic has adopted a food programme, aimed to provide Senegal and African countries with food. Senegal is going to have a huge demand for machines and equipment manufactured by Tatarstan. The Republic of Senegal delegation that includes 6 people will tomorrow visit Kamaz and Sollers.

Session of Supervision Council of special economic zone “Alabuga” was held in House of RT government chaired by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. A number of investment projects which pretend to be placed on the territory of special economic zone “Alabuga” and launching new production were presented to members Supervision Council. Thus, OOO “Pixar Coatings” applied for getting the status of resident. It represents the project jointly realized with Italian company on producing paint and varnish production. Volume of investments is meant to be 615 mln. roubles, output capacity – 10 000 tons of production per year. Launching of production in case of getting the status of resident – 2012. The project is meant to be realized in two stages.

Today in Nizhnekamsk a regular production session on constructing Complex of oil processing and oil chemical production session JSC «TANECO» with RT President R.N. Minnikhanov’s participation. Before the session RT President accompanied by general director JSC «Tatneft» Shafagat Takhautdinov examined a complex of installations ELOU-AVT-7, got acquainted with a course of works on hydro-cracking installations being a phase of deep oil processing and visited plants infrastructure and utilities. At the meeting the builders have reported on completion at planned dates of construction-assembly works of the first run «TANECO» and on passing for complex testing of the equipment. It was marked this had been achieved owing to professional and adjusted work of «Tatneft» company , general designer of project - institute VNIPIneft, general contractor - ООО «Neftgazengneering» UK «Kamaglavstroi», its subcontracting organizations.

Keys from 84 new bases Fiat Ducato and “NefAZ” were handed to Tatarstan institutions at the area in front of NCC “Kazan’. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and members of FIFA executive committee Hani Hasan Aburida (Egypt) and Mohamed Hamam Al-Abdulla (Catar) attended the ceremony. The buses are meant for transport maintenance of sport objects of Universiade-2013, Universiade village, school of Olympic reserve, Central sport club and Complex of trap-shooting “Kazan” and main universities of Kazan.Member of FIFA executive committee Mohamed Hamam Al-Abdulla said that republic may be proud of those sport objects built for Universiade-2013.

Global football is the sport that unites people from various countries whatever the national and religious identity is, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said at the meeting with members of the FIFA Executive Committee Hany Abo Rida of Egypt and Mohamed bin Hammam of Katar on October 8.The meeting was held at the Kazan Kremlin. Tatarstan Youth, Sport and Tourism, Minister Rafis Burganov, Director of the Presidential Department of Foreign Affairs – Aide to the Tatarstan President Timur Akulov, Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Vladimir Leonov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Iskander Muflikhanov attended the meeting.

Education by the program of RT government grants “Algarysh” is very popular among young people and it will be continued. This was announced by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov at III republican forum of “Algarysh” graduates that was held in RT Academy of sciences. By words of Rustam Minnikhanov, in the process of “Algarysh” program realization all necessary changes are being made. The experience obtained during 5 years is very valuable for Tatarstan. The main purpose of the program is increasing quality of youth education, training of skilled staff for republican economy, Rustam Minnikhanov said. He added that republic would be still engaged in education and internship of municipal and republican employees within the limits of other programs as well. “Algarysh” is fully dedicated to education of students, post-graduate students, young scientists and teachers.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Moscow branch of German service of academic exchanges (DAAD) Gregor Berghorn discussed issues of further cooperation in educational sector. The meeting was held in RT Academy of sciences within the limits of III republican forum of “Algarysh” graduates. Gregor Berghorn positively characterized cooperation between DAAD, Tatarstan and RT Ministry of education and science. He informed that students from Tatarstan successfully study in German universities and demonstrate brilliant knowledge. Yearly DAAD concludes the agreement with republic on educating 20 students in German universities by 2-year programs “Masters” on conditions of joint financing. 60 people have already passed education in Germany.Gregor Berghorn suggested considering the opportunity of cooperation in such areas as organization of professional training in Germany (for three months) for young scientists and teachers of republic. Besides, he intends to attract representatives of Tatarstan large business (industrial companies, enterprises) for training specialists in Germany. Thus, business community would invest funds into training specialists by in-demand professions.

Additional measures on lowering abuse of alcohol, beer and tobacco and forming healthy way of life in Tatarstan have been discussed today at session of RT Cabinet Presidium with participation of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. The session was conducted by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov. RT Minister of health care Airat Farrakhov made the key report. By his words, upon the whole alcohol consumption in republic has reduced for the last few years, but rates of beer consumption are even more than in Volga Federal District and Russia. Alcohol consumption increased 1,8 times since 1990 to 2008. Tobacco smoking is also a very urgent problem. One third of population in the world smokes. That makes 1 bln. people. 200 millions of them are women. About 70 % of men and 17 % of women smoke in Russia. Smoking of children and youth is becoming a serious national problem as well. The average age when children get used to smoking is 10 for boys and 12 for girls. Every ten pupil in Russia suffer from tobacco abuse and health problems. For the last three years a number of drug abuse diseases has decreased.

Republic of Tatrstan is interested in the development of relations with the Slovak Republic. There are all conditions for this process taking into account the high level of Russian-Slovakian relations, languages and the current commercial and economic contacts. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated it at the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Joseph Migash on Wednesday.Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, RT First Vice-Premier Ravil Muratov, Director of the International Relations Department – RT Presidents Aide for International Issues Timur Akulov, RT President’s Aide Iskander Muflikhanov, RT Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Bulat Fakhrutdinov took part in the meeting.
