On June 12, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin, Prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Nafikov, Aide to Tatarstan President Olesya Baltusova, and Aide to Tatarstan President Natalia Fishman walked along embankment of the Volga River.

On June 12, at Russia Day celebrations at Gorky culture and leisure park, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan will do its best to help Russia to become a strong country.

On June 11, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met Prime Minister of Abkhazia Artur Mikvabia at the Kazan Kremlin. Shaimiev welcomed the guest and noted that he has to deal with a difficult, long-term task to protect the status of Abkhazia that was determined by the strive of Abkhazian people to stand up for their opinion.

On June 11, Prime Minister of Abkhazia Artur Mikvabia arrived in Kazan and was met by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov at Kazan international airport.

On June 11, at the opening of the first session of Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group in Moscow (President Hotel), Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that cooperation with the Islamic world has always been one of the most important parts of Russian foreign policy.

On June 11, at their meeting in Moscow during the session of Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Iyad Madani discussed further cooperation in Islamic banking and finances, education and organization of hajj.

On June 11, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Moscow to take part in events of Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group (President Hotel).

On June 10, at his meeting with Chairman of Permanent committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of the People's Republic of China (Parliament of the People's Republic of China) Zhang Dejiang at the Kazan Kremlin, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan appreciates high level of relations with China and expansion of contacts, strengthening of friendship and cooperation between Russia and China are very important for the republic. He characterized Russia-China relations as comprehensive strategic partnership.
