The first session of city Council of the second convocation was held in Nizhnekamsk on October, 18. In the course of session deputies elected mayor of the city - Aidar Metshin. RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the session. Head of RT government informed that candidature of Aidar Metshin was suggested by the edict of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. Ildar Khalikov is sure that Aidar Metshin will cope with all tasks set before Nizhnekamsk city. Head of RT government reminded that the city was considered to be the best municipal formation of the Russian Federation in social sphere. Later on, deputies started voting procedure.

13196 veterans of Great Patriotic War were registered for improving living conditions in Tatarstan according to data for October, 14. This was said today by Minister of labor, employment and social protection Airat Shafigullin at the meeting on issues of housing construction and commissioning including the program of State housing fund under RT President and housing construction for veterans of Great Patriotic War. The meeting was held by RT Prime Minister in format of video conference with participation of all municipal regions. By words of Airat Shafigullin, assimilation of funds under the  program of providing housing for veterans in republic makes 10 bln. roubles. Still the issue of moving into flats by veterans is an urgent one.

All Russia census has started all over Russia. Second time such a scale action all-state level aimed at presenting objective life picture of our society is being held in new Russia.
Census of households as called to specify social –economic status of population.Previous years a big and diversified preparatory has been held in which state and municipal power bodies, general public of our republic took part. The results of census will laid in foundation of determining social -economic perspectives of cities and regions development, all municipal formations, forecasting demographic and migration processes, continuation of reforms in healthcare and pension provision, education and culture, housing –communal services, forming budgets of all levels.

At the meeting took part vice deputy Premier – RT minister of energy Ilshat Fardiev, chiefs of ministries, departments and RT municipalities, head of EBRD rep-office in the Volga federal district Mikhael Hoffman and other officials.

«Last years country leaders designated modernization of all economy, social, cultural sphere. We produce our initiatives also, something is done, something not. We should understand that any reform, any modernization fails without money. To spend money correctly –is the other question but sometimes our ideas remain ideas since they are supported financially, - Rustam Minnikhanov stated. – I think that Federal Government should channel more financial means for modernization».

Today President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with Governor of Gilboa district council (Israel) Dani Atar and Deputy Governor of Dzhenin province (Palestine) Abdalla Barakat. Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that officials of Palestine and Israel had arrived in Kazan together, thus showing the example of peaceful co-existence of two brotherly nations – European and Arabic. President told about economic potential of Tatarstan, educational and cultural spheres. For the present moment certain connections are established with Israel and Palestine in the sphere of humanities and culture. City dwellers may become familiar with Israel and Plestine cinema. Students of both states study at Kazan universities, Tatarstan specialists exchange experience with Israel colleagues in some areas. But still the level of our economic relations is very low, Rustam Minnikhanov said.

The republican youth forum will be held in Kazan on November, 17. RT Minister of youth affairs, sport and tourism Rafis Burganov told about preparation for the event at briefing in RT Cabinet. All brilliant ideas of new generation will be demonstrated at forum. The best ones will pretend to be realized. Authors of projects will be invited to take part in preliminary stage that will be held in the end of October according to 7 key areas of the forum such as “Youth science and innovations”, “Youth entrepreneurship”, “Information flow – youth mass media”, “Technology of the good” - volunteer movement, “Leadership”, “Career”, “Start for future” – specialized area for ideas not included in other categories.
