On July 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Vice President of Uruguay, Chairman of the General Assembly (Parliament) of Uruguay Danilo Astori. Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay Roberto Kreimerman also took part in the meeting.

On July 14, at a Foundation Assembly of the Bering- Bellingshausen Institute (IBBA) and the First Conference “Globalization and new policy-makers” in Montevideo (Uruguay), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that nowadays the global world levels out differences between countries, and there are new opportunities for cooperating and establishing contacts, with Uruguay businessmen as well.

On July 14, Tatarstan President Rustam, who arrived on a working visit in Montevideo (Uruguay), was met by Russia’s Ambassador to Uruguay Aleksey Labetsky at the Carrasco International Airport.

Yesterday, on June 13, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a one-day working visit in Brazil to attend the closing ceremony of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Rio de Janeiro.

On July 12, speaking at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Minister of Construction Farit Khanifov said that capital repair of all multi-apartment houses included in the programme of 2014 in Tatarstan is underway in 40 municipal regions. The works at seven sites in five municipalities are behind the schedule by more than 20 per cent.

On July 11, speaking at a meeting on the state and prospects of Tatarstan livestock sector development, Deputy Prime Minister – Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov said that in January - June 2014 gross agricultural output of all categories of farms made 64.0 billion roubles or 104 per cent as compared to the same period of 2013.
