Speaking at a routine Saturday meeting, held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the the Tatarstan Department of Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Agency for Surveillance of Human Rights and Wellbeing) Marina Patyashina has reported that the total number of people sick with COVID-19 in the republic has made 47 536 from the beginning of the pandemic.
Speaking at a routine Saturday meeting, held with all municipalities of the republic by videoconference, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has said that the number of patients with COVID-19 has tripled over the last week and a new spike of pandemic is caused by spreading of the new OMICRON strain. Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin also took part in the meeting.
On 29 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a videoconference with all municipalities of the republic on the situation with aggressive behavior of stray dogs and ways to solve this problem. Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin also took part in the meeting.
Speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utility Sector Marat Ayzatullin has said that household debts in Tatarstan have amounted to nearly 8bn roubles as of January 1, 2022.

On 26 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic and the regional Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications held by the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and dedicated to the results of work in 2021 and the Year of Digitalization being held in Tatarstan in 2022. Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev and members of the State Council and the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan, heads of departments and territorial bodies of federal structures, regional organizations and municipalities also took part in the meeting via video link.

Speaking at a videoconference briefing in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Ecology Aleksandr Shadrikov has said that during the last three years the republic has implemented nature protection events for the total amount of 9.6bn roubles, 6.6bn of them coming from the federal budget.
On 21 January, speaking at the summarizing collegium of the Tatarstan Ministry of Culture, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leila Fazleyeva said that development of culture was one of the priority spheres and one of the most important resources for strengthening inter-ethnic peace and concord in Tatarstan.
On 20 January a delegation from the Russian Accounts Chamber presided by it Head Aleksey Kudrin paid a visit to the town of Innopolis where they were met by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov.
The delegation made a tour of the Technical Park named after A. Popov and the University of Innopolis, got acquainted with the robotic developments of the IT-university and took a ride in the unmanned taxi.

Roman Shaykhutdinov informed the delegation about the development of the Special Economic zone of “Innopolis”, the University and the operation of the Innopolis project in whole. Aleksey Kudrin said that they were interested in interaction with Innopolis in implementation of joint projects using Bag data.
