On-air digital TV broadcasting of new DVB-T2 standard has been launched today in Kazan. A solemn ceremony was attended by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Vice RF minister of communications Aleksei Malinin, deputy RT Prime Minister - Minister of informatization and communications Nikolai Nikiforov, deputy Director-general of the Russian television and radio broadcasting network Viktor Pinchuk, and Director of the Russian television and radio broadcasting network branch “Republican radio and television transmitting center” Vladimir Yakimov.
New building of the Puppet theatre has today opened in Kazan. The official opening ceremony was attended by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and RT State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev.
International investment forum KAZANINVEST 2012: FDI&WAIPA has today opened in Kazan. Tatarstan Prime minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the opening ceremony. CEO of World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) Carlos Branzatto is also present at the event.

RT State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev has met in Kremlin with Alken Ib Villi – an official of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
“10 years ago no one could imagine that Kazan would host Universiade, such a big international sports event,” President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said at All-Russia student forum of volunteers “We are ready!”
RT President Rustam Minnikhanov addressed first RF Vice-premier, Head of the Steering committee of the Games Igor Shuvalov with a request to provide extra 2 bln roubles of federal funds for ensuring safety of guests and participants of Universiade 2013 in Kazan.
Agreements of intent with partners of Universiade-2013 - Coca-Cola, Hyundai Motor CIS, McDonalds have been signed today in the context of a session of the Steering committee of World student games in the presence of first Vice-premier of Russia Igor Shuvalov and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The Russian Minister of transport Igor Levitin has got acquainted with adaptive automated traffic control system that is being currently implemented in Kazan. Head of the Russian transport ministry was accompanied by the Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov. Switching of traffic lights is now controlled by the second-generation automated system in Kazan. Switching modes are changed in accordance with the fixed schedule.
The Russian Minister of the interior Rashid Nurgaliev and Minister of transport Igor Levitin arrived in Kazan on February, 28. The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov met the ministers at the international airport “Kazan”.
RT Vice minister of education and science, Head of department on supervision and control in the sphere of education of RT Ministry of education and science Lyudmila Nugumanova told about features of holding Unified State Exam in 2012 at a briefing in the House of RT Government.
