Mercedes Benz Trucks Vostok, a joint venture set up by the Dailmer AG concern and the JSC KAMAZ, has opened a production line. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the ceremony.Other attendees were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Russia Ulrich Brandenburg, Daimler AG board member and Dailmer Trucks chief Andreas Renschler, Rostekhnologii general director Sergey Chemezov, KAMAZ general director Sergey Kogogin and other officials.“I am genuinely glad a joint venture is today launched in Naberezhnye Chelny that will assemble state-of-the-art trucks. Let production facilities like this be many more,” Rustam Minnikhanov said at the ceremony.
Tatarstan experience in ensuring interethnic concord is interesting for Germany. This was announced today by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany in RF Ulrich Branderburg at the meeting with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was held in Naberezhnie Chelny with participation of RT Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Director of Dept. of external relations under RT President - Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov, Director General of JSC “Tatneft” Shafagat Takhautdinov.By words of Ulrich Branderburg he was appointed to the post of ambassador in April 2010 and it is his first visit to Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, informed about his recent working visit to Saxony. RT President asked Mr Branderburg say words of gratitude to PM of Saxony Stanislav Tillikh for warm welcome.
March, 11. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov met with members of commission under National anti-terrorist committee. The meeting was held in House of RT Government. Tatarstan Republic was presented by Secretary of RT Security Council Valeri Vlasov, head of Ministry of interiors on RT Asgat Safarov.The Commission is headed by deputy head of department, Colonel Aleksei Veldgrube.

DuPont Company was presented by Director for Eastern Europe Jean-Luc Duramy, Director on corporate marketing and sales for Eastern Europe Ruslan Yusupov, Head of developing business in Volga federal district of RF Rashit Azimov, Sales Director in transport sector for Eastern Europe Vlad Klassen, Regional director of department for plants protection Igor Teslenko and others.
March, 10. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with former Prime Minister of Malaysia Makhatkhir Mokhamad in Moscow. Tatarstan was presented by Aide to RT President Iskander Muflikhanov and Chairman on developing small and medium entrepreneurship Linar Yakupov.Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with Dr Makhatkhir Mokhamad in June 2010 in Kazan at international summit of Islamic business and finances. An official visit of RT President to Malaysia took place in December 2010. In the course of visit meetings with prominent political figures and representatives of Malaysian companies were held.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has today at the Kazan Kremlin met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Russia John Sloan. Issues related to future cooperation were discussed.While warmly welcoming the guest, Rustam Minnikhanov noted the relations between Canada and Russia, including Tatarstan, had been rapidly progressing. “Canada is one of the Republic of Tatarstan’s leading foreign partners,” Rustam Minnikhanov remarked. Canada and Tatarstan are linked with mutually beneficial relations in a number of branches. This is, foremost, cooperation in oil recovery, especially in developing heavy crude, as well as oil refining and petrochemistry.
The cooperation between Tatarstan and Australia must not be limited to agriculture. It is necessary to develop contacts in other fields too, for instance, in education, sports infrastructure development, adopting Australia’s experience in organization of large-scale sports competitions. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated it at the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Russia, Margaret Twomey, on Wednesday.
“Tatarstan authorities are interested in getting information about problems of small and medium entrepreneurship straight from the source”, - RT President Rustam Minnikhanov said at the meeting with members of RT Association of small and medium enterprises. The event was held in House of RT Government with participation of RT Vice-premier Ravil Muratov, officials of republican ministries and departments. Opening the meeting, RT President underlined the necessity of direct interaction between authorities and business community.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has today at the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers held an extended joint meeting between the Tatarstan Security Council, Tatarstan Antiterrorism Commission and Tatarstan Emergency Staff. Attendees were the State Advisor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and State Council chairman Farid Mukhametshin.“Crime rates in the republic are stable and are under the law enforcers’s control,” R. Minnikhanov said, opening the session. “The total number of recorded crimes in 2010 substantially decreased, by 16 percent, the number of grave and especially grave ones – by one third. The quality and efficiency of investigation is considerably higher than in many other regions. It, however, does not mean everything is fine and we have no challenges in terms of the law enforcement work. It is no reason for complacency.”
